Crochet Valentine’s heart

Materials required 

Hook           3.50 mm/ size E

Wool/ yarn  red and pink (3ply)

scissors 

Size of each heart 1.5 inches 

 

Stitches used 

Magic ring 

Chain                          (ch)

single crochet            (sc)

half double crochet  (hdc)

double crochet          (Dc)

treble crochet            (Trbc)

slip stitch                    (slst)

 

Gauze 

Gauze is not necessary you can use any type of yarn and hook and start working on this project.

 

pattern 

Step 1 make a magic ring 

 

Step 2  make all the stitches in the magic ring  ch1, 1sc, 2 hdc, 2dc, 3trbc,  4ch and 1slst in the ring. This completes half of the heart continue with the next step.

 

Step 3   4 chains, 3trbc, 2dc, 2hdc, 1sc ch1 and join with the 1st stitch. 

 

Close the magic ring and weave in all the ends. This completes the heart make  as many as you want and use it as an motif/ applique or string it to use it as home decor.
